Oh My Holy Snow!!!
I CANNOT believe how much snow is out there! And it's still falling. School was canceled today. When does that happen in Utah??! Last night Nate shoveled our driveway. This morning, 10 inches of snow lay on the driveway--as if he hadn't done a thing! We measured the snow out in the yard where no shoveled snow had been piled: 19 inches (and of course some has settled a bit). I couldn't stop singing "It's a Marshmallow World in the Winter". What a great song. It really describes what it's like out there. Here are a few pictures, but it's hard to do justice to that much snow. It just looks all white. On Sunday I actually was feeling bad that all the snow had melted. I thought we may not have a white Christmas afterall. I thought wrong!

Playing Outside
Skyler wanted to play outside. I told him he could go if he got on shoes, socks, a hat and a coat. He ran upstairs as fast as his little legs could carry him, to his room, presumably to get the socks and shoes. First thing he grabbed was his fireman hat. "I got my hat!" he said, proudly. I couldn't resist going outside and snapping some pictures of him in the leaves. (Of course we put on a nice, warm hat before going out).

They did it again!
Emily and Sarah ran in a one mile fun run yesterday at their school. About 400 kids participated. Emily was the first place girl, and Sarah was the second place girl! Great job, girls!

Nate and Justin, Pig Wrestling Champs
Nate and Justin were signed up to pig wrestle by their boss at the nursing home. They weren't especially excited to participate, AND they had to give up their BYU football tickets to do it. But true to their competitive nature, they figured if they had to participate then they better try to win--which they did! Here is the video of the champions:

Kindergarten Girl!
Today was Eliza's first day of school! I can't believe that she is starting kindergarten! It will be fun to have just me and Skyler at home for a few hours every day, though. Eliza has 3 friends from our ward in her class with her, including one of her best friends, Jane, who lives next door to us. Jane is just about 4 months older than Eliza, but as you can see from the picture, she is very tall. It's funny to see them together. Emily is in 5th grade and Sarah in 3rd grade this year.

I haven't posted in a very long time....
I know I haven't posted in a LONG time, I'm so sorry! Here is a video from our Shuler family reunion (a full month ago) of Uncle Richard having a jam session with some of the kids. Unfortunately, I don't think this video does justice to our music. In spite of that, it was so fun for the kids (and the adults) to jam with uncle Richard, we'll have to ask him to bring his instruments again next year, and not save it for the last day!

Like Father, Like Son
Nate and Skyler had their pictures taken a couple weeks ago. It was a cold rainy day and Skyler was just not too thrilled to be there. I really wanted some cute pictures of them together, so we may have to try again sometime. Maybe I'll wait until Skyler has visible hair. These pictures make him look so bald! (He does have some hair--just very little!)
