Happy 3rd Birthday, Skyler!
What I love about this boy:
1. I love how Skyler likes to look out the window and watch the garbage truck come. It's pretty much an obsession. Whenever we hear the truck coming, we run for the window!
2. I love that Skyler likes to help me throw the laundry down the laundry chute...that is, as long as someone (like me) is in the laundry room screaming, "Don't throw that laundry on my head."
3. I love that Skyler loves going to church (nursery). Even when it's not Sunday, he'll ask to put on his church clothes. Perhaps just in case. (Next January is going to be terrible!!)
4. I love that Skyler loves his baths and his pajamas and his bear and his blanket.
5. I LOVE when Skyler tells me in a soft, sweet voice that I'm his little son. (I think he thinks I'm saying SUN when I call him my son).
6. I love that Skyler loves his missionary little people, his missionary badge, and singing "I hope they call me on a mission."
7. I love that Skyler has his favorite songs that he wants to sing every night: The fishy song, and the temple song. And sometimes the sunshine song and the missionary song.
8. I love Skyler's adorable laugh, and how much he loves Eliza.
9. I love when Skyler tells me I'm the BEST mom ever. (Usually just after he calls me the badest mom ever and is trying to avoid getting into trouble. That I don't love, but I do think it's funny).
10. I love how Skyler likes to pick out his own clothes. Each night he'll go through his closet and choose an outfit and leave it on the floor. What 2- or 3-year-old does this, especially boys?

Ultrasound today
Last night we were discussing the ultrasound. I warned the girls that there was a chance we wouldn't be able to find out what gender the baby was if the baby was being "modest". Sarah was horrified to discover that we were going to be looking at the baby's private parts to find out. I asked her how did she think we were supposed to find out if a baby was a boy or a girl if we didn't look at it's privates. She thought maybe we could just look at it's hair when it was born to figure it out. Sorry Sarah, baby hair just doesn't cut it!

They did it again!
Emily and Sarah ran in a one mile fun run yesterday at their school. About 400 kids participated. Emily was the first place girl, and Sarah was the second place girl! Great job, girls!

I haven't posted in a very long time....
I know I haven't posted in a LONG time, I'm so sorry! Here is a video from our Shuler family reunion (a full month ago) of Uncle Richard having a jam session with some of the kids. Unfortunately, I don't think this video does justice to our music. In spite of that, it was so fun for the kids (and the adults) to jam with uncle Richard, we'll have to ask him to bring his instruments again next year, and not save it for the last day!

A Homemade Christmas
Nate, Emily and Sarah are modeling the scarves I knitted for them. On Eliza, I knitted the hat and mittens.
Here is Mandy, purchased on Ebay for Eliza by none other than Santa Claus himself. But I got to be the doll clothes elf! I also sewed nightgowns and crocheted beanies for 3 dolls (not pictured).
This adorable little creature was not exactly a Christmas present, but a birthday present for my nephew Josef. His birthday is December 27 so I still had to make him before Christmas!
I just love making homemade gifts. I don't always have the time to do it, but next year maybe I'll start a few months earlier...
